Do I need to create an account?

No account registration is required. Simply visit the website, upload your video, watch an ad to earn credits, and start translating. This means your privacy is protected - we don't collect personal information.

How does FreeSpeakAI make money?

We generate revenue through advertising. When you watch advertisements to earn credits, we receive compensation from advertisers. This allows us to offer the service completely free to users while covering server costs and development.

Credits & Pricing

How do credits work?

Credits are a simple system to use our free service:

1 advertisement viewed = 1 credit
1 video translation = 1 credit consumed
Maximum 10 credits per day
You can translate up to 10 videos daily for free!

How long are the advertisements?

Advertisements are typically 15-30 seconds long. You must watch the entire ad to earn credits - skipping or closing the ad early won't grant credits.

Do credits expire?

Currently, credits are session-based, meaning they're stored in your browser for your current session. If you refresh the page or close the browser, you'll need to watch ads again to earn new credits. We're working on adding account features to save credits long-term.

Can I purchase credits directly instead of watching ads?

Currently, the only way to earn credits is by watching advertisements. This keeps the service completely free for everyone. We may introduce optional premium features in the future, but the ad-based model will always remain available.

Video Requirements & Limitations

What video formats are supported?

We support all common video formats including:

What is the maximum video length?

Currently, we support videos up to 5 minutes in length. We're working on expanding this limit in future updates. If you have longer videos, consider splitting them into shorter segments.

What is the maximum file size?

The maximum file size is 200 MB. If your video is larger, you can compress it using free tools like HandBrake or online video compressors without losing much quality.

Does video quality decrease after translation?

No, we preserve the original video quality. Only the audio is replaced with the translated version. The video resolution, bitrate, and visual quality remain unchanged.

Can I translate videos with multiple speakers?

Yes, but currently all speech will be translated into a single AI voice. We're working on multi-voice support where different speakers get different AI voices to preserve the conversation feel.

What about videos with music or sound effects?

Our system extracts and translates only the speech. Background music and sound effects are removed in the current version. We recommend using videos where speech is the primary audio focus. Support for preserving background audio is coming in future updates.

How long does translation take?

Translation speed depends on video length and current server load:

1-minute video: ~2-3 minutes
3-minute video: ~5-7 minutes
5-minute video: ~8-10 minutes

We're using efficient but budget-friendly servers currently. We're continuously upgrading to high-performance infrastructure to significantly improve processing speed in the future.

Can I use FreeSpeakAI on mobile devices?

Yes, FreeSpeakAI works on mobile browsers (iOS Safari, Android Chrome). However, for the best experience and faster uploads, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer.
